An intensive introduction to wheel throwing, designed for complete beginners who want to build a solid foundation. During the course, participants will learn how to identify and prepare clay, properly use tools and accessories, center the clay on the wheel, open, pull, and shape the walls, and refine their pieces. Each step is guided in detail, with practical demonstrations and individual practice time. The process concludes with decoration using colored slips and preparation for firing.
A clear, essential, and well-structured course, ideal for getting hands-on right away and learning through making.
The course takes place over the full day, with a lunch break from 12:30 to 13:30.
