These General Terms and Conditions govern registration for and participation in the ceramics courses organised by the Fondazione Le Fornaci di Riva San Vitale (hereinafter the “Foundation”), held in person at the Fornaci di Riva San Vitale. - Organiser and contact details

- Subject matter and scope of application
- These terms apply to all registrations for ceramics courses organised by the Foundation.
- The specific information for each course (dates, times, duration, level, maximum number of participants, price, requirements) indicated on the relevant course presentation page forms an integral part of the contract and prevails in the event of discrepancies.
- Registration and confirmation
- Registration for courses takes place exclusively online.
- Registration is considered valid only once payment has been made and the order has been confirmed (on screen and/or by e-mail).
- In the event of incorrect or incomplete data provided during registration, the Foundation is not responsible for any issues or failure to receive communications.
- Prices and VAT
- All prices are indicated in CHF.
- The Foundation is not subject to VAT.
- Payments (cards, TWINT, PostFinance) and payment service provider
- Payment is made at the time of registration using the methods available at checkout, in particular:
- payment cards (credit/debit)
- TWINT
- PostFinance
- bank transfer
Online payments (cards/TWINT/PostFinance) are processed through the payment service provider Worldline.
Bank transfer (IBAN) If the participant chooses bank transfer, payment must be made to the following details:
Beneficiary: Fondazione Le Fornaci Address: Via delle Fornaci 3B, 6826 Riva San Vitale IBAN: CH13 8080 8001 0990 2946 4 The payment reference must include at least the participant’s first name and surname and the title/date of the course (or order number, if available).
Registration confirmation For online payments, registration is considered completed once payment has been confirmed. For bank transfers, registration/the place is considered confirmed only once the amount has actually been credited to the Foundation’s account (unless otherwise stated during registration).
No user fees for online payments The use of online payment does not involve any fees or additional costs charged by the Foundation to the participant: the amount charged corresponds to the course price indicated at the time of registration.
Any costs charged by the participant’s own institution / bank charges Any costs charged directly by the card issuer, financial institution or provider of the participant’s chosen payment method remain reserved (e.g. currency exchange fees, handling fees, limits or security blocks). In the case of bank transfer, any bank charges are borne by the participant (unless otherwise indicated).
If payment is not successful, registration is not completed and the place cannot be guaranteed.
- Course delivery and location
- The courses are held in person at: Via delle Fornaci 3B, 6826 Riva San Vitale (TI), Switzerland.
- No shipping: no shipping of materials or kits is provided. Any included materials are made available on site as indicated in the course description.
- The Foundation may make reasonable organisational changes (e.g. room/space, group division, minor programme adjustments) without substantially altering the service.
- Insurance and liability
- By registering, the participant confirms that they have valid civil liability insurance.
- The Foundation does not insure participants against accidents or damage to third parties. Each participant is responsible for their own insurance cover (accident/civil liability).
- The Foundation declines all liability for accidents that may occur during the courses or for any theft, within the limits permitted by law.
- The participant undertakes to comply with the instructors’ instructions and safety rules, particularly when using equipment and materials.
- Absences, withdrawals and refunds
- Illness or accident: in the event of absences due to illness or accident, supported by a medical certificate, the participant is entitled to a proportional refund for the lessons not attended.
- In the absence of a medical certificate, no refund is provided, unless expressly stated otherwise in the course description.
- Refund requests must be sent to corsi@lefornaci.ch, indicating: first name and surname, course, purchase date, e-mail address used for registration, and attaching the required documentation.
- Any personal costs incurred by the participant (e.g. transport, accommodation) are not refundable.
- Minimum number of participants and course cancellation
- If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the Foundation reserves the right to cancel the course.
- In the event of cancellation by the Foundation, the amount paid will be refunded in full. As a rule, the refund will be made using the same payment method used, unless prevented by technical reasons or otherwise agreed.
- Communications
- The Foundation is authorised to use the e-mail address provided during registration for communications necessary for course management (confirmation, organisational information, changes).
- For questions or communications relating to the courses: corsi@lefornaci.ch.
- Data protection
- Personal data is processed for the management of registration, the organisation of the course and related administrative requirements.
- For payment processing, some data may also be processed by the payment service provider (Worldline) in accordance with its respective terms.
- Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
- Swiss law applies.
- Place of jurisdiction: Justice of the Peace of the Riva San Vitale district (for financial disputes up to CHF 5'000) and conciliation proceedings. For claims of higher value or specific matters, the court of first instance is the Pretura di Mendrisio.
- Final provisions
- If any provision is found to be invalid or ineffective, the remaining provisions shall remain valid.
- The Foundation reserves the right to update these terms; the version accepted at the time of registration shall prevail.
- Acceptance and integral part of the contract
- These General Terms and Conditions form an integral part of the course registration. By registering, the participant declares that they have read, understood and accepted them.
- Mailing list / Newsletter
- If, during registration, the participant consents to receive informational and promotional communications, the Foundation is authorised to add the e-mail address used for registration to its mailing list.
- Consent may be withdrawn at any time by requesting unsubscription (e.g. via the unsubscribe link or by writing to comunicazione@lefornaci.ch).
