Free-form modelling – Give shape to your ideas

A 4-session ceramics course dedicated to creativity and the creation of personal and original objects. Starting from your ideas, I will guide you step by step through the design and making process, exploring together how to turn them into forms that can actually be created, adapting or simplifying them when necessary according to your abilities and experience with clay. And if you don’t yet have a specific idea, I will help you choose a first project suited to getting to know the material and becoming familiar with the techniques. We will mainly use the pinch, coil and slab-building techniques, which are simple and versatile and also suitable for those approaching ceramics for the first time. You can create bowls, vases, containers, small decorative objects or sculptural forms, leaving plenty of room for imagination and experimentation. During the final session, the pieces will be finished with glazes and oxides, choosing colours and effects to give your creations the final touch. Bring your ideas: together, we will find a way to turn them into ceramics.

The course is open to adults and young people aged 15 and over and requires no previous experience.
