Born in Germany, Agnes Duerrschnabel has lived in Italy since 1987. A ceramic materials designer and professional trainer, she has taken part over the years in numerous national and international exhibitions. Her artistic research stems from observing beauty in all its forms and from a fascination with traces of time, which she incorporates into her works by combining natural findings with pieces in stoneware and porcelain.
Curious and passionate about her craft, stories, and people, she has lived for nearly twenty years in a lakeside house accessible only on foot and works in her studio in Como, located within the ancient walls of the former Santa Margherita convent.
